Underdiagnosed and Overwhelmed: Women with ADHD

I recently completed a story for Counseling Today that explains the struggle of adult women with ADHD and the difficulty they often find in being diagnosed. Their symptoms often present differently from the stereotypical, hyperactive behaviors. These women may feel overwhelmed by daily life, and wind up anxious or depressed as a result. These symptoms may lead to misdiagnoses such as major depression and bipolar disorder - completely missing the underlying circumstance of ADHD. Read more here.
